What we saw going wrong

Many "herbal" and "Ayurvedic" cosmetics are made from ready-made extracts that are produced using chemical solvents. Solvents are fast and cheap, but they change what is taken out of the herb, and the gentle, whole-plant goodness that Ayurveda depends on is often lost along the way.

The result is products that say herbal on the label but behave like any other chemical cosmetic, sometimes with the side effects people were trying to avoid. Over time, that has made many people lose faith in herbal care itself.

Where Bello comes in

Bello was created to put the quality back into Ayurvedic personal care. Our parent company, Syndy, has been preparing Ayurvedic formulations since 1929, and we hold every Bello product to the same standard: if we would not use it on our own family, it does not leave our hands.

Why we extract every herb ourselves, with water

This is the heart of Bello. We do not buy ready-made extracts. Every herb (neem, aloe vera, turmeric, sandalwood, kumkumadi, brahmi, bhringraj, amla and many more) comes to us whole, in its natural crude form, and we extract it in-house using only pure water, the way traditional Ayurvedic preparations have always been made.

Water extraction is slower and costs more. But it keeps the essence of each herb intact, leaves no solvent behind, and lets us know exactly what goes into every bottle, tube and bar.
